fender name plate

I have a super reverb with I think is a 73 model.The Fender name plate doesnt have the line under it like most all the other amps that I,ve seen.Its just plain with no line.Most all the amps Ive seen have the nameplate with the underline.Why is this? Thomas Malugin Columbis Tn 38401

The "tail" underline was eliminated from the nameplates in '73, as I recall.
