german band "truck stop"

can anybody give me info on this band in germany
and who where the steel players. look's like they
been togeather along time ??

Hi Paul !

Would be happy to help you with infos about the german country band "Truck Stop".

They play together since about 35 years in nearly original cast. The current steel player is Knut Bewersdorff and he plays great.

I´ve seen the band countless times live and they are great musicians and nice guys.

They formed in '75. They had quite a few hits on the charts here. The original members (three of them are still in the band) were part of the German Beat Group scene in the early until mid- sixties. I think they have had just two steel players. The current player is Knut Bewersdorff who joined in '84. I think he does alot of talking on stage and sings too.

Yeah, Joachim, you´re nearly right

They formed in 1973 and Knut is the second steeler. He began 1983 to play with "Truck Stop". The first steeler was named Rainer Bach.
