Buenos Aires Hora Cero

Post by Susan Alcorn (deceased) »

For those of you who may be interested,

Here is a clip of Buenos Aires Hora Cero (Midnight Buenos Aires) performed by myself, Melissa Hullman (violin), and Jake Leckie (double bass). This piece, written by Astor Piazzolla, has to do with the the tension between one day and the next at exactly midnight. I often think of the repetitive bass line as someone (myself?) walking in the night on a dark street in Buenos Aires (so in that way it's a bit like the Patsy Cline song except at a moment earlier perhaps no moonlight).

I hope you enjoy it.

ps - in case you missed it, these are links to my two favorite songs from that evening:

Interesting stuff, Susan. My favorites were Suit to AHL and Kicho. I guess I like a little more music with the art noise. ;-)
