Hi Guys
Well there's no steel on this Clip, so I'm not sure it's in the right section, But this nearly has me in tears everytime I watch it. I play along with it and in the 'Solo' try and play counter harmonies with the great Yo yo Ma. The trio's playing is a superb lesson in support of an artist. Granted it's a different genre than most of us will ever find ourselves in, but try it, and you'll see how well the steel blends in, and then tell me the maginificent Alison Krauss and Yo yo Ma don't get to you.
What I'd give to be sat in the background playing with this quartet. My most favourite music.
Dream on old boy, dream on.

Beautiful. Yes, this classical score lays down string harmony under her vocal, but they don't do much in the way of fills between the phrases. So there is room for traditional steel fills.
BTW, here's a clip with Jerry Douglas backing her up with a strap-on lap steel - very sweet: Simple Love
