Leonard,

Good stuff. Didn't I see you with Johnny Paycheck back in the late 80's.

Rick,
Actually it was '90-'93. Seems like so long ago. John's brother, Jeff, who opened for John and sang harmony and played lead, when I was there, was killed in a car accident, April 1, '09. Jeff was quite a singer, too. He was a dear friend of mine.
I ran another mix of the same tune. It sounds alot better, I think.

Leonard,

So sorry to hear about Jeff. I liked his playing and singing a lot.

I guess it was in the 90's. Jeff was playing lead. It was the first time I ever heard 'Memories Of A Memory" and I about came unglued. Later in '94 I was working with Bill Monroe in NY and Johnny was on the show. I told him then that if that's not the perfect country song, he should just quit, because he won't beat it. I got to eat supper with Johnny that night. One of the highlights of my life. I sure miss him!
