Thank you very much Bill. I still have a problem getting my audio to sound right on YouTube...I don't know if its the software I'm using to make a video or what but I can never get the audio right for some reason. |

Sounded great. Would you consider sending me (email) the BIAB file for the rhythm track? Would love to play around with it.

Hello Al. The version of Power Tracks Pro that I have is version 8 that came with the Band In A Box and here is a picture of the Mixer board that I use to edit a midi file.
First I download a midi file from any website that has midi files and put the midi file in a folder (for example, My Music) then I open the Power Tracks Pro and bring up the mixer on the screen. Then I click on File in the upper left corner and go to the folder where I put the midi file and click on it. It will load the midi file and with the mixer on the screen you will see the tracks listed and each track will contain an instrument such as guitar, piano, drums, bass, melody and so forth. Play the midi file and then bring the volume level down on different tracks to get an idea of which track you want to delete. When you click on the track number to highlight it ,goo up to the word Track and scroll down to remove it. This process will take some getting use to but it is worth the effort to get some great rhythm tracks |

One thing I have learned about midi files is, they are not all easy to work with and some are even impossible to do anything with. Being a musician I have also found that some midi files are not in the key they are listed to be. The Power Tracks Pro will also allow you to change the key of the song and even speed up or slow down the tempo. It all boils down to editing. I use a software Recorder called DAK and I'll post a link where you can purchase it for about $15.00or $20.00 depending on the version. |

Here is the link to the DAK MP3 Recorder and Editor. http://www.dak.com/shop/details.cfm?item=131 This is an excellent recorder and editor with some fantastic features and the best thing is it will record in MP3 for easy to e-mail music files. After I have edited a midi file to where I am happy with it I open the recorder and set my volumes and record it. |

Another thing about midi files is that most of them are excellent and have great sounding instruments like bass and piano and horn sections but there are a lot of midi files that are not very good for instance some of them sound like they are played on a circus calliope or a squeeze horn like Harpo Marks played lol. |

You are very welcome Al and thanks for the kind words on my playing. Another thing about BIAB is whenever I download a midi file and not sure of the chords being used I can open the midi file with BIAB and it will show the chords on the screen and I just jot them down. |
