Hi Vernon
I really enjoyed that clip, thats how all good country music should sound, and it sure brings back memories of a golden age. Thanks for posting.

Wow, Vernon, you're still my hero after all these years. That's just the way I remember it from the WNCT days. What great phrasing and tone! Hey, that's Ray Crisp in one of those shots, isn't it?

Clyde,
Thanks. Thats a clip from WNCT.Wish we had Videotape in those days.Wife recorded this off TV with a Pentron tape recorder. Had to work on it with the computer software to make it useable.
Yep, Thats Ray Crisp, He lived about 2 blocks from me in Gastonia and we started playing together when he was about 12,13 yrs old.He is in a couple shots,RockHill and WLOS-TV( Cousin Wilbur show). He left WLOS and went with Johnny and Jack,Kitty Wells about 1957 then later finished his Nashville career with Ray Price in the mid 60s.Thats Ray singing with Kitty on some of the Youtube clips. He is back home in Gastonia. Good to hear from you.
