Hi Mickey: Thanks for sharing this Ted Solesky with your fellow Forumites; I like his style of playing; he does a fine steel cut on the song. Come on, Mickey and share your most recent recording with us. I know you have a great song listed on Tilley's web site. Good to see you posting here..Cheers.Bernie :whoa:  :D

Ted's Playing

Post by Bill Simmons »

Hey Ted...I've been sooooooooo busy the last 6 weeks that I have not posted what I feel about the CD you sent! Being from TX, I believe that state has some of the greatest steel players anywhere. There are so many guys (and some ladies - Joan and Janet)who are not 'household' names BUT can they play!!!!

Ted Solesky is one of my all around favorite steel players who, besides being one super nice helpful person, always plays just the right thing with taste, feeling and in the pocket. Great job Ted!! Now get that solo and instructional CD out in '09...Bill

Bill i don't know you but i totally agree with you about Ted's playing. He has sent me tutor cassettes in the past but it's not the same as a one to one tuition. I love Ted's style, he plays his own style as opposed to many others that copy others. He's always told me he plays how "HE" feels it should be played. Yep he's a really nice person IMHO
