Mike Gross- October 24/7 show now on Internet

Post by Mike Gross »

The October edition of the recorded continuous airing of "Swingin' West" has just come up on the Internet on twangtownusa.com. It will be on 24 hours a day seven days a week, over and over, for the entire month.

The theme for this month, October, is Texas. Among the sounds you will hear will be from artists from not only Texas. Paul Main is from Maine, The Swing Commanders are from the UK, Gunsmoke is from Connecticut and Will Dudley is from Colorado.

You will also enjoy lots of Texas artists also like Gaylynn Robinson with a cut from her new CD produced by the great Bobby Flores, as well as Mary Allen-Keating backed by the National Band of Texas, the River Road Boys. Other Texas artists include Cody Dodson, Dennis Ivey, the late Mike O’Daniel, Johnny Lyon, Cornell Hurd, Amber Digby and Kelli Grant backed up by former Bob Wills Texas Playboys.

There is a Western oriented grouping of Texas songs with Curly Musgrave, Mindy Petersen and the Prairie Rose Wranglers and the Sons of the Rio Grande. The album closes with the theme by steel guitar great Bobbe Seymour.

The recorded edition of "Swingin' West" can always be heard by clicking the mouse on the appropriate spot on the bottom of the home page of the "Swingin' West" web site, www.swinginwest.com

Thank You!

When I click on TwangTown do I have to subscribe to "SuperPass" to hear the program. Is there another way of listening to the program?

Billy,

You need Real Player downloaded on to your computer to pick up twangtown. The free download can be downloaded from the link at the top of http://www.twangtownusa.com/hours.html

It is a great show and I think that you will really enjoy this one. I don't have some of that awesome Ole Rasmussen and the Nebraska Cornhuskers material on this month's show but there is lots of other great stuff.

If you still have problems picking it up feel free to e-mail me and hopefully we can work it through.
