This Saturday’s (9-6-08) weekly edition of “Swingin’ West” can be heard from 2:00- 3:00 PM (eastern) on WVOF-FM (88.5) in Fairfield Connecticut and simulcast world wide on the Internet at www.swinginwest.com or www.wvof.org

The theme for this week’s show is Western Swing do Pop, including lots of good Western Swing. Among the sounds you will hear will be from Hank Thompson & the Brazos Valley Boys, Dennis Ivey, Casey Driscoll and Kelli Grant backed by former Bob Wills Texas Playboys.

You will enjoy Brady Bowen from Texas and Paul Main from Maine. There is also the Boggy Branch Band, Allen Karl, Barbara Nelson and steel guitarist Don Powell.

There is so much more including the combined talents of Curtis Potter and Darrell McCall and those of Curly Musgrave and Belinda Gail. There is also a recent cut by Phil Coley and one from recent CDs by both Marvin O’Dell and Ft. Worth’s awesome Country Night Live.
