Thanks guys, That was yours truly. I enjoyed that wonderful organization for nearly 8 years. Two of my all-time favorite artists(and real singers) and a group of wonderful musicians to work with. You guys hit the nail on the head...it's just not like that anymore. We had great clothes, great equipment, lots of rehearsals...and lots of work. The Jolly Giants did"Git'er Dun". I was so proud to be just a small part of that era. Good music, Great people. Thanks again to you all for remembering. Ron

Mr Elliott,
It was said on this forum from time to time that we, country steel players, are a dying breed. I am only 51 years old and I have been playing music for over 41 years.I have seen so many of the greats leave us for a much better place. It is so great to learn your name and I will add it to my list of what I consider Legends and truely great steel players of that era. I only hope that someday I can live up to the musical standards you and all of those great players from your era set for all of us to follow. Thanks for some great music.
God Bless !

Ron; I, too, agree with Mr. Biggers, in reference to your talents and the grand job you performed with Jack Green and The Jolly Green Giants. The suits & clothing which you folks wore, when on stage, back at that time, was so professional looking. It made one proud to attend a C/W show and observe a truly great show, dressed as Gentlemen and Ladies. And to posses talent, besides. Ron, you did a fabulous job on those two numbers. Thanks for the post.. Bernie
