Richard,
Another good post young man, but just curious:
Where do you get all these different Pedal Steels
from ?? So far with your work posts on the forum,
the push/pull sound is my favorite, but you do a good job
on all of them.

Nice one Richard. Phillip, Rich has 3 steels. The Emmons, a "Denley" and a tasty ZB which he has modded and the pedal and knee action is the best I've tried on a ZB, I had one years ago. Hey Richard, that double lower you fitted to my Carter universal last friday works a treat. I know it is a heavy action because I call you the "SPRING" man, and that is some spring on there, but at least the semi-tone lower on the 2nd string is positive!!! and no overshoot. Thanks a bunch for doing it. Meee's thinking about any other mods you can do for me. It was well worth the drive up to you!!! :)

Micky !!
Good to read your post -- I had a feeling that there was much more to Richard than he was letting on to.
Evidently, he is a Steel maker as well as a good Steel player.
It's been a joy to follow this young mans efforts on the forum, and what a testimony to him, from a great player like you.

To all on the forum who think that looks scary under that ZB of Richard's, I can testify I've tried the action and it "really" plays smooth as butter.

I personally don't care what it looks like underneath to the sceptics that may question it, but it's the playing "FEEL" that matters first and foremost!! :)
