Actually Pete, that is a very recent video. Jonathan is like the son I never had. What a great young man.
I took him onstage with me at the Smoky Mountain Steel Guitar Jamboree when Jonathan was just 11. He is now 19 and playing better than most of us old geezers.
And that happens to be the first Carter Steel that I had. Jonathan has had the steel for about 8 years now and he still loves it.
There are several other videos on YouTube of Jonathan. This was a little out concert in Duluth, GA. Just Jonathan and a flat top player/singer. Now that is a tough gig.

Jonathan

Thanks Bill, for allowing us to hear Jonathan play such a great song; Is he the same young man you had with you at one of your Utube Gigs; sitting behind a steel guitar; watching you and another steeler play.. I was hoping you were going to let him perform along with you, John, or Larry. But again, thanks for sharing his talents with us.. I, too, Bill, want to express my heart felt appreciation for all the videos you have brought to us; please keep them coming; dig a little deeper into your archives..Bernie

Yes Bernie, that is one and the same. I was fortunate enough to have this "kid" play on my set at several shows.
Now when he is not at Belmont College, he comes to our club and sits in with us.
This summer, he is going to fill in for me with our band while I go visit the grandkids.
