BRIAN...

I have been thinking of you recently... You are on my special email list, even though it's been a while since I have contacted you but I know I WILL see you in Dallas and we have LOTS to talk about.

BILL..... I ALWAYS reply to mr.davidhartley@btinternet.com emails. Sometimes a week or too late, ... Try again, it might be me missing something, or you posting to youtube....

Guys... I LOVE Dawn Sears and Joanie Keller.. Been listening to 2 albums tonight... Who loves them too.. I wanna see (and meet) PF and hopefully meet MJ and Joanie too in Station Inn on Sept 7th ..(Monday)..... You know, that old COUNTRY MUSIC night in Nashville (so I have been told)..

Also.. Think I am doing PSG show in Norway (I will know tomorrow), Belfast (booked April 7th), and hopefully (St Louis) Rains room in Sept.. And Billy Yates UK gigs in July ..

Many thanks..

BRIAN.... I WILL email you a goodun', and longun' one very soon.

I have tabbed so much lately, checked, double checked, etc.etc. and still found an error in it tonight.

I am really pleased with my KW lesson tonight, (thats Keith White).. My ideas are working.. He has learned so much in just 1 hour tonight, He tonight, has made me feel like I am NOT wasting my time with all the hours I am putting into this project, I am now aiming to have them ready for Dallas, I have a lot planned (in my head) and (already to go)..

Look At Us, Sweet Memories, Mansion On The Hill, AND LG instrumentals from many years ago, like Driter's Polka, Red Eye, and Pedal Pattle..(with BIG JOHN on the semi-acoustic) ..

I am alive and kicking (although not on the youtube lately)and I hope I will be to finish off what I have started too..

It's this thing called WORK holding me back!!

And WE have the OLYMPICS in 2012, Coca Cola want 1500 empoyees attending working there too (planning it all already).. Thats a few gigs missed, but I want to be there...

Anyway, it's 01.16 am here, and I want to be up at 6, so NITE NITE..
David Hartley

HELLO TAMARA! (You are now a guy)

No chance for the "STEEL GUITAR HALL OF FAME" it's an American thing, and if your not, you wont get in, which I think is a little self indulgent, but ho hum,ask Scotty, Slim.

David, first of all, you are a GREAT steel player---tone, timing, blocking---it's all there. But you DO have an "attitude." We all do, some good, some bad. I looked on YouTube---When I typed in "David Hartley," I got 191 responses. So I typed in "Buddy Emmons." Got 114 responses. I think your attitude may be one of insecurity, hence all those posts, and this thread. You're much too good a player to need that much reassurance. Keep playing that Rains as well as you do now, and don't worry. The acclaim will come.
I didn't write this to offend, but rather, commend you. There will be folks who'll climb my butt, but I don't care. I write this, and post it, with great regard and respect for your playing, and for you.

I can assure anyone, David does not have an attitude. At least, not in a bad way. David's attitude is simply working too hard in trying to keep up to his busy schedule, as well as to keep his promises of getting DVD's done, and a whole lot more.

But! Everyone in one way or another, has an attitude about many things in life. So the word attitude, is quite vague.

I'm the one with an attitude! :D

David, Totally ignore that person, takes all kinds to make up this world. On my personal webite, I have had slanderous comments to me as a person on my guestbook all about my personal life which has been rocky at times as most people tend to have. My website was designed to help people who are sick as I was. It certainly has done that from some of the sensible comments. The persons mentioned didn't even have the decency to add their name, showing the cowardness of themselves. Running my own websie i can just delete the nonsence. Youtube is different I guess, but as I said, just ignore their remarks to you. Your'e a great player, and now I'm back in Essex, perhaps a meet up one day ??.....not too far to drive for me now :)

I hope that David puts out more and more videos. I find each just as exciting as I do his ideas when he does his rendition of these songs. I am so grateful that he is willing, IMO, to work so hard to do the tablature also. I believe that I've purchased most of his CDs, and if I live long enough I'll buy more, happily. IMO they are all great renditions and the tab helps to pick up on his way of thinking, and this must be from practice and more practice that sets a fantastic example of excellent muscianship with our beloved psg. Also, IMO, he's not doing it just to make some money, (I hope he eventually makes a fortune) but to sincerely help others.
