Many times in the past I have purchased CD's only to be disappointed after playing them. Not true with this one for it is one of the finest CD's I have listend to in a very long time. The steel is up front on all the cuts.
It's a sad day when this type of music is not heard on the radio for David Peterson deserves to be there.
My thanks go out to Paul for letting us know about this great CD because I would have not known about it otherwise.

Another message for David Peterson:
David, I can only echo all the kind words already spoken about your CD. I'm 71 and have been playing since I was 11 (Roly Poly days) and therefore have listened to and played a lot of C/W (and other) music over the many years and still do.
This CD is nothing short of exceptional. It's one that mkes the hair stand up on my neck as they say, and even brings tears to my eyes, it's magic.
I's totally "alive". Your controlled energy backed up by the guys is sensational. Keep up the excellent work.
As others have said, it's too bad this is not played on today's radio, and also to thank you for bringing to our attention.

David and Paul,
I received my CD and have been enjoying it. Nice, traditional country music, and lots of up front steel and fiddle!
One question... On several cuts, there is a musician credited for "Sock rhythm guitar." I have not run across this term before, please enlighten me.
Thanks, Larry J.

Hello all,
Just wanted to answer a couple of the questions. Rick - The cd was produced by Dennis Crouch and myself. All the arrangements were a collaboration. Some of them I'd been thinking about for years. Dennis brought a great ear to everything though, and his input was invaluable. He also got the musicians together for the sessions.
To larry - the term "sock rhythm guitar" refers to closed chord rhythm on an arch top acoustic guitar, as opposed to open chord rhythm that I played on a dreadnaught acoustic guitar. Hope that helps. Thanks again for all the kind words.

Thanks a lot, Dave; it was a really fun night (totally unrehearsed as you can probably tell). And if we're going to use the baseball metaphor I should point out that I also hit a couple of fouls and had at least one unforced error; all part of the game!

Paul would it be possible to take a copy or two to Dallas, next week. I'm sure my old mate Dave Hartley will pick up and pay you for a copy. It was great watching you with the Time Jumpers last November and thanks for the tuning tip, boy it works!
