I don't know Carl but I would tend give him the benefit of a doubt. Just my opinion, based on my own experience. If you want a guitar next week, you should be looking at used guitars, not a new one.
When you are buying from an established dealer you really don't have to worry.

I have known Carl for many Years, and have never had any problems,he is very honest and a very trustworthy guy,I am sure there is a genuine reason for his lack of communications, and I am sure he will not let anyone down, please give the guy a chance to explain why he has been unreachable,Please don’t start running him down because as I said he is an upright honest guy and he must have a good reason for being hard to get in touch with.

Patience Gentlemen. All things are giving to those who wait. Carl has been a member here for a long time. Maybe
something come up at the wrong time to keep him from reaching out to all involved. As we age we all are not as effective as we should be, at least I am not. I know as well as any that not being able to get a response from someone in a business deal is not good. But have Faith. J.R. Rose

I sent him a five hundred dollar down payment and bought 140.00 worth of veneer. I also spent two and a half days at work making parts when I could have been making 45 and hour. Instead I made 87 bell cranks, 4 pickup covers, and 11 pedals and shipped them. He now refuses to answer my emails etc and is blaming us for his bad choices and miscommunication.

So, you made parts for him to use on the guitars he builds?

I am a machinist with access to state of the art equipment. He sent me parts and asked me to copy them which I had no problem doing. He has contacted me and told me he will have my guitar finished next week? I am not sure if he is using these parts or some of them on mine and what he will do with the rest of them?
