Don't the two braces per neck (remember, it's a 12) change some of the washer assignments?
2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
More amps than guitars, and not many effects

Congratulations on getting the guitar taken apart and put back together.

That's how mine came from MSA in 1978, and I have not changed it since. When you raise 4 and 8 a half step, the first string functions like the second string of the standard E9 tuning, and the third string functions like the first string of E9.

Some other variations have been tried on string 1. If you haven't already found this thread, take a look:

In the second post of that thread, you can find the string gauges that MSA was using for the tuning in the 70's, if that's any help.
