Paddy - Enjoyed our jamming sessions and your playing in the Telonics room; a pleasure to meet you my friend. Wish I'd brought a couple of those speakers home myself...

All the best

I got my evaluation speaker today - and yeah, its made by Eminence.

My initial impression is that the build is much better than Weber speakers. I am going to put it into an amp on Friday and spend some time comparing it to the Neo Magnet speakers I currently use in the Milkman amps.

its official - these speakers are excellent!

I will be using them in Milkman amps from now on. They suit the steel guitar very well, and they are very light.

I think Dave hit it out of the park with this one :D

Tim, how does the tone compare to Webers? I have an older pair of weber neo 12's in my Twin clone...

The build quality on the Telonics speaker is far superior to weber speakers.

I had a pair of weber Neo 12's and was underwhelmed by them.

The Telonics speaker has much more life and sparkle to it. I am really excited to start using them! Steel players are gonna eat these things up.

I bought home from Dallas a open backed cabinet with the new Telonics 15" speaker in it, and paired it up with the closed back one I already had, fitted with a BW 1501-4. I must say the combination of these 2 configurations is absolutely fantastic - last weekend I played an outdoor festival concert and felt that my sound was as good as it has ever been - I didn't get to hear it through the FOH of course but on stage it was awesome.

Telonics Speakers

Post by Lynn Stafford »

I've installed two new Telonics 15" speakers in my Telonics open-back cabinets and used them on the bandstand on two separate gigs last weekend, using one my Emmons push-pulls. These speakers sound fantastic!! I like them much better than my Peavey 1501-4 DT speakers. Lots of clarity and sparkle on the highs (without being edgy) very clear and smooth midrange, as well as a nice tight bottom end, without being too boomy. I can't wait to use them again this weekend with one of my other guitars! Not only do they sound great, but the weight savings is a real plus as well. I think Telonics hase a real winner with those speakers, and I'm sure they will be selling a lot of them!
Best regards,
Lynn Stafford
