Iv'e had the privilige of knowing Fred for over 30 years, even used to play Bass for him.He has been an insperation to improve my steel playing. In case you guys don't know it but he hung up music for about 10 years and never set at his old Rustler.Troy Porter had a jan at his place in Globe Az. about 5 years ago and fortunely invited Fred and he showed up.No guitar with him of course,so I made him play my old P/P Emmons.About three days later he called me and said he broke out his old Rustler, restrung it and invited Troy and me over to his house too Jam.I knock off the long story but I bet you know the rest of it.I don,t know about anyone else but I'm sure glad he's back playing.
Ray
Thanks Ray

Ray I remember that Sunday very well, and it was more like 7 years off of playing.
And yes, I don't know weigher to be glad or regretful about the out come of that day.
Its cost me a ton of money, but I've made a ton of new friends.
All in all I guess I have to say I'm glad I came back. Now my whole life evolves around Steel Guitar.
Ray, your the BEST, sometimes you move me.

I picked up my copy of Fred's CD in Dallas. I shoulda had him autograph it, it's a great CD. I got to hang out with Fred a little bit at the show and I consider him a darn fine fellow and friend. Fred is also making some real good looking gear. *PLUG*
