Herb,
Thank you so much for your voice of reason.
All the guitars and equipment I will leave behind when the good Lord calls me home will go to my grandchildren. I have a trust set up for them.
Like Herb mentioned, I have been associated with the steel guitar for approx. 57 years now. I have had ample time to accumulate some instruments.
If you think that owning 8 Emmons guitars is obscene, then I'll really expose myself to ridicule by telling you that over the last year or so, I have sold 6 Emmons p/p's. At one time I owned 12 p/p's. Let the flaming begin!
I guess if I could walk on water I would still be critized because I Have not chosen to cast dispersions in the Lashley's direction. So be it. :D

Leaving a trust for grandchildren 8) 8) 8) 8)

Owning 12 EMMONS P/P 8) 8)

Being a loyal customer and not"casting dispersions" 8)

Casting "dispersion"against someone elses "agony/mis-fortune" whether they be Italian or Martian :?:

Too bad you couldn't show the same amount of grace and respect for fellow forum members as you do for the Lashleys.

I started out by complimenting your dedication to your grandchildren/your years of "steeling"/customer loyalty.... :?: but, your humanity :?: .....you'll have to figure out on your own.
See that's how things get started. Good product, customer loyalty, good name........ :?: customer service :?:

My point.....

Just my opinion...guess I couldn't miss a good ol' hoss floggin'--should've tho

Herb,
I don't know what you are talking about. There was no vail at all on my feelings about Erv's 8 Emmons guitars. It is ridiculous and I didn't single out Erv. He mentioned he has 8 Emmons guitars.

What on earth did I say that reflected badly on Buddy Emmons? I remember saying I thought the Emmons guitar company would survive through this mess on his good name along because that's how much people love Buddy. I still believe that. What problem could you possibly have with that? Don

Paraphrase, Why do you even bother to tab hymns? Why not try and help a fellow steel player from a morale and practical way?

Herb and Cal,
You two scoundrels had me there for a minute. To my surprise, there really is such a thing as a Bulgarian Widget.
By the way, my son and I collect pocket knives, antique tin toys and license plates. If I could afford to and had room, I would collect pedal steel guitars. One of every brand and color. I've got a good start on Show Pro steels :D .

Brian,
Since you have elected yourself moral judge and jury in this matter what do you suggest I do?
I'm just an old sinner saved by grace but I'm always willing to accept correction from a person more spiritual and santified than myself.

Don
Regarding the Buddy Emmons quote, obviously a misinterpretation on my part. You have my apologies for my mistake.
