TX: Dale Watson in Houston, TX tomorrow

Hello all who are in the Houston Area. Dale Watson and his Lone Stars will be in Houston, Texas, tomorrow, 8/17/07. They will be playing at Blanco's Bar and Grill on W. Alabama St. It will be a great show! Don-Don Pawlak is a great steel player! One of my favs. The whole band, Dale on lead, Gene Kurtz on Bass, Don Raby on fiddle, Herb on drums, and Don-Don on steel, Texas honky tonk at its best! Get there early, the place is small and fills up fast!

I suppose he is called Don-Don because the fiddle players name is Don as well. On their website they call him Don-Don, and Dale calls him that at the shows as well. I am looking forward to it, I always catch them when they are in the area If you cant make it you'll be missing out!

In the late great Don Walser's band, he was known as "Big Don" and his bass player, whose last name escapes me, was known as "Skinny Don"; a fine bassist for a one-of-a-kind singer.
