Ah yes, Reggie Duncan. He is a wonderful steeler, so is his dad. I believe his son plays guitar and very well at that. Reggie does great recordings in his studio too. You will never find finer people anywhere.

Hi Jamie,Isn't that some awesome tone ? If you want to hear more of this beautiful tone and some wonderful playing from Reggie order his CD " Blessed Assurance " I've played this CD almost every day over the past six months. You would have to search for a long time to find a better tone than that which is on this CD, masterful stuff!

If I am right he is also playing an Emmons pushpull guitar. It sure has a good tone to it.

yeh Paul, you're correct, but the guitar didn't have a thing to do with his tone, this guy can take a two by four with baling wire stretched between the ends and make it sound like that. Reggie is a super player and is probably working full time in the state of Mississippi in the Christian genre of music.

He comes by his playing ability honestly, His "Ole Pappy" can blister most of us playing and I won't tell you how old he is but he outnumbers me by over a decade and I'll soon be 75. And you should hear Reggie's son can just SWARM all over a standard guitar. BTW the youngster is on tour right now with a band in the central part of the country. A real Christian family and with more music in it than most of these United State's are capable of producing.

I saw Reggie at the Mississippi bash a little over a year ago, sitting beside a young man named Joe Wright and some guy in cool shorts, named John Hughey was placed on the other end of the line up (and as I recall Billy Carr was also in that group), playing straight up country, which is certainly not Reggie's forte, but he didn't blink an eye, he jumped right in and took the house down. True he didn't play every song but those he was even remotely familiar with he wore them out. He's a Killer Player, a gentleman, and I'm proud to call him my friend. LET'S TESTIFY!!!!!!!

Yes, Reggie is an excellent player and he would sound good on ANY pedal steel guitar...

But the tone on THAT clip is Emmons push/pull all the way! It a clear, bright Zing, and I heard it 2 seconds into the clip. There's nothing else like it. I've been playing an Emmons push/pull for 37 years, and when I try other PSGs I notice the difference. The last I knew Reggie was playing a 1979 Emmons. He's a great player!
