Boss DR5 Drum Machine

Post by Joseph Solomon »

I have a DR5, and,for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to use the up-tempo patterns. On Page 9 I don't understand what is meant by count(Uptempo).....202(Enter Twice). Can someone please explain this in simple terms? What pattern would you use if you were playing something like 4 Wheel Drive. Would appreciate any help.

Thanks, Joe

I have to of these. I use them mainly for the midi sounds ( tone generator). There usually aren't any good "country" patterns in these from the factory. You'll probably have to program them in to suit you. That's not "TOO" hard but you'll have to play with it a little to get the hang of it. You can also put the bass and rhythm instruements with it also with a little practice. It has 4 tracks. Slow down the tempo REAL slow until you get it right then you can speed it up to normal tempo.2/4 country is fairly easy to program. Just try it.

I forgot to mention in my first post that I do have the Billy Cooper program in my DR5.

Joe, not sure that I have the answer to your question but when I've had questions, I call Billy and he is happy to help out. He's as proficient with that thing as anyone I know.
