Hi,
I just got this Peterson VSII tuner and I have to admit I'm having some problems figuring out how to set it to an E9 Temperament.
I was hoping someone might be able to guide me through the process of programming it so that when I turn it on it will automatically go to the E9 mode.
Thanks in advance for any help. |

Norm ,
Turn your tuner on and see what comes up . Now press the edit button three times and at the bottom right
hand corner of the screen , should appear TEMPR. If it is not already saying TEMPER:SE9 ( which is the factory E9 preset), Turn the big center dial on your tuner, which is called the "value" knob, until you see
TEMPR:SE9. Now press the edit button once and the screen will change to "save ?" at the bottom right hand corner. Now push the value knob twice (if you accidently twist the knob shut off the tuner, turn it back on, and start again). Now when you turn on your tuner, SE9 should come up in the top right hand corner of the screen . When you turn on your tuner from now on , "TEMPR : SE9 will be automatically shown.
If you are playing a D-10 and want the C6 preset just press the edit button three times until TEMPR appears . Now turn the "value" knob clockwise ONE CLICK and the C6TH preset will appear .
Credit for this really should go to a forum member named James Morehead who sent me these instructions in August 2006 when I wanted the settings. Thanks again James
Hope this helps, Norm ! _________________ John |

Hi John,
Thanks for your reply. I went through those steps but when I turn it on mine says T (C): SE9. I'm still not sure how to get rid of the (C) and replace it with TEMPR. Thanks for helping me stumble through this. |

Morm,
Don't know why it did not work for you ! It worked just fine for me using these instructions .
Maybe you should contact Mr Norris at Peterson via phone and review this with him ! Maybe he can assist you . _________________ John |

Norm,
The "C" is just the root.
John's description was correct. Your tuner is now programmed to go to SE9 (E9th preset) when you switch it on.
