I have a Peterson Strobo Flip tuner coming in today I bought as a result of a post I put on here a few days ago. Johnny Cox gave a great recomendation for it so I ordered one. My question is does it have more than one tuning for the steel. If so which one are most people using |

Hi Jeff,
You will love the tuner. It has 2 pre set tunings for E9 and 2 for C6.
There are several other tunings for string instruments too,Acc Guitar,Violin,Dobro to name but three. There are also user patches in which you can have any personal tunings stored.
Very easy to operate.Batteries last a long time too.
Best regards

Although it has the pre-programmed tunings - basically the Jeff Newman tunings, one with the E's referenced at +10 cents and the other with the E's at "0", I have my own programmed into the user memories. I don't subscribe to the "one size fits all" for steel tuning, plus I have a couple of knee lever changes that are not in the factory programs. |
