Definately has potential. The crack "appears" to be only in the formica covering. Wonder how high the bidding will go...

| This looks like a BlackRock but with a strange keyhead on it . Should be a good sounding and playing push/pull but I would be worried about that crack in the back . |

Are cracks common in this area on push pulls, and do they affect the performance / sound of the guitar?

| Hi Richard. I have seen several pushpulls with this same crack and numerous other pedal steels with the same crack (most notably MCI/EMCI's) and I am not of the opinion that it really affects anything other than cosmetics. |

I have this guitar and it's great, however the keyhead on ebay is NOT the same as my guitar...I would be suspicious, but if it works it works.

I asked the seller about it and you're right, apparently the crack goes through the body too...

A close look at the keyhead pic shows a hole near the end casting...a retro-fitted keyhead? And if you look at the links he posted, it has a push pull changer and an undercarriage that looks like a pro single neck.
Did someone put push pull parts from a real Emmons on this body? Don't know anything about a Blackrocks, but did they have regular PP parts?
I think it's been "rebuilt" using leftover parts.

yep, that hole in the body of the ebay monster is exactly where a bolt goes thru the body and anchors the keyhead on my guitar.
I would ask for pix of the undercarriage before seriously considering buying it. |

At the bottom of his ad text, he has a list of links. Just copy one to your browser's address box. He has pics of the undercarriage there. Notice the only difference in the links is the number at the end. Once you've gone to the first pic, just change the number in the address line to see the next pic.
