BJS Bars

Post by Herby Wallace »

I have been using a BJS bar ever since the first year Bill Stroud brought them to St. Louis which has been quite a few years ago. Bill didn't have a booth that year, but just had a brief case full of bars showing them to all the players. It knocked me out so much, that I bought 2 from him the first year and I used nothing else since then. The BJS is by far the finest bar I have ever used.

Thanks Herby that was a long time ago back in the 70's a lot of good memories, and good times we've all together thanks to Scotty for making it all happen.
Jack that bar should last you for ever, just ask Herby, along with a lot of other guys that got my bar a few years back, I told my wife Shirley that I'm going to have to break down and get me a new one ha ha.
A good friend of mine name Butch Butler years ago told me about Scotty's convention and that I should go to it which we did and ever since then I don't think I've ever missed going to the St Louis Convention since that time. I wouldn't trade my time and efforts of meeting such fine folks that's on the face of the earth for anything. Friends means more than what money can buy, you can't buy friends.
I just want to thank each and everyone of you steel guitar players that's supported me in my efforts to make a BJS Bar in all the years that I've made them. It's the professional players like you that made me want to make such a bar.
Again I really appreciate each and everyone of you, and may the good Lord keep and bless all of you.
Your Friend,
Bill Stroud

New Bar

Post by Carl Williams »

Hi Bill,
Congratulations on your new website--I just visited it as visitor #70 and it looks great! BTW, I may have been the last to order a bar from your old website late yesterday afternoon---can't wait to get it--I've been playing with a bar I bought from Zane Beck back in '74 timeframe and I'm sure the BJS will last at least 30+ years! Take Care--Carl

Bill is definately one of the "Good Guys" I have only met him once but have used his bars for quite a while and wouldn't use nothing else. Thanks Bill for your great contributions to our never ending quest for tone and comfort.

Count me in too Bill. You make the absolute best bar I have used. And I hate to admit how many years that has been. :) :) :) :)
