I used to go to 49'r games as a youth..but baseball and it's players are much more memorable...what a great game...I pitched fastpitch softball for about 15 years and that is the thing that I miss most about growing old...Hell, men's fastpitch doesn't seem to exist anymore.
I hope I live long enough to see the Cleveland Indians win a World Series. Maybe even to exact revenge on the Atlanta Braves for the '95 Series (sorry Braves fans).

I am a die hard baseball fan and always have been.
I was a yankee fan until the dreaded Rangers came along. Going from the Yankees to the Rangers as a fan is like falling off your caviar into your dog crap but I keep waiting and hoping like ol Chris. Someday its gonna happen...Texas Rangers world champions! I just hope I am still alive when it does.
When it does I am going to record a song and call it "take me out to the cem e tary."
It's good to see some steel players who are baseball fans. Many musicians can't stand sports, and gravited to music precisely because they weren't jocks. But not all of us.
I finally "retired" from slow pitch softball, after tearing my calf muscle fielding a swinging bunt (I was pitching). But, I loved the competition, and had played in leagues for about 20 years.
I don't know if anyone mentioned that Buddy Emmons has a great video featuring baseball of his tune "Triple Play." It would lead one to believe that he's a fan.
