Anybody use a PODXT?Old Country Sound

Post by Bob Luman »

I am looking for "old country? sounds on my Sho Bud Maverick with a Podxt and a Peavy Special. Would appreciate settings to get this sound. I go into the amp's power amp section; no equalization. Thanks

Jack Stoner has a nice set of presets for steel that you can use as-is or tweak to your own liking. They are a great starting point - I found them very helpful in first setting up my PodXt.
No chops, but great tone
1930's/40's Rickenbacher/Rickenbacker 6&8 string lap steels
1921 Weissenborn Style 2; Hilo&Schireson hollownecks
Appalachian, Regal & Dobro squarenecks

Here are two pictures of my Peavy Special 130 showing the output from the Podxt going into the power amp only. No equalization or reverb in amp is used. All tone, reverb, distortion, delay ,etc. are controlled by Podxt.
