Boy, I can see that peghead just slingshotting off under the stress of those strings. I wouldn't wanna be in it's path when it turns loose! OTOH, it may outlast the rest of the guitar.
Credit due to the guy that put all the time and engineering into it though...pretty cool actually! |

| Probably have to tune the pulls a step or two sharp in order to make up for the cabinet drop! Nice natural finish...Sears "clear coat". |

Looks to me like you'd have to have "10" inch fingers to play it. Try getting a 3-5-10 combination lick!

| I don't understand the "roasting" this is getting. If you think building a pedal steel guitar is easy you should try it. Hats off to anyone who attempts it. My first home-built pedal steel was about 30 yrs. ago. I built the whole thing out of wood, including the pedals. No cables, just wood doweling. It wouldn't stay in tune, and the dowelling expanded and contracted every time it rained, so I removed the pedals and played it as a lap steel, in which configuration it worked okay. |
