Another great meeting. Good crowd, good pickin'. The two Jodys gave a teaching segment on locating chords using the intervals . Jody Cameron answered several questions as to "how do you do that". The new player segment : Waymon Moore D10 Sho-Bud, Brandon Ordoyne S10 Pedalmaster, Tommy Alexander D10 Franlin. We are especially proud of Waymon and Brandon as they have only been playing a short time , and are already participating at our club meetings. Jody Cameron was presented the TSGA runner up Steel Player Of The Year award at our meeting as he was not able to make it to the Dallas Show. An honor well deserved. Jody Cameron abley assisted by Bobby Bowman was the featured player. A good mix of country and swing. The band : Patty Phelps and Larry Schoppe on bass, and Billy Phelps on drums. Vocalists ; Jim Carter. The JAM : Bobby Bowman-D10 Emmons. Waymon Moore-D10 Sho-Bud, Brandon Ordoyne-S10 Pedalmaster, Tommy Alexander- D10 Franklin, Jody Cameron-D10 Emmons. and Jody Sanders- D10 Pedalmaster. Good pickin' by all. A special thanks to Billy and Patty Phelps for all they do to keep our club up and running. See everyone next time, Jody, Billy, and Patty. |

All,
Thanks for allowing me to play for ya'll, for my 1st time, at this meeting . I hope to play at each meeting. This helps a beginner like me to learn to play with a band, and most of all with about 20 or so people watching you Also the teaching segment is a big help. Thanks for all you do! I am already looking forward to playing at the next meeting, I'm hooked Thanks again to Jody S, Jody C, Billy, and Patty.

Brandon, Glad you took the plunge. I know it can be very intimidating having all the steel players watch you play, but you've got to start somewhere. Sorry I couldn't be there. |

What a great day and a lot of fun!
The ole' bird with the white hat; just pickin' and a grinin! (Jody S)
Then here's the bad boy with the black hat; What more could you say about (Jody C)
Brandon to my left and Waymon on my right, watching me; I must have hit a real sour note.
Last but not least, is the ole' hariy legged boy (Bobby B) in good form.

Looking for forward to the May show; ya'll come. |

By all means, I wish more players would bring thier guitars to the meetings! We are all just there to have fun, and there is certainly no "competion".
