Hey guys,
not to rain on your parade, but I would strongly UN-recommend any Behringer products. In my experience they are built cheaply, will break quickly, and they actually screw up your sound to some degree! There's a reason their products are half the price of everyone else's...
I too have been enticed by the price tag, but I have sworn "never again" with Behringer.

well Bryan I already knew what to expect for $39..but the reason these are so cheap is that they are discontinued. IF you look at them closely they are the exact same units at the Samsons...probably made in the same facilty with different brand labels.
I do have a Behringer 4 channel headphone amp and it has given me excellent service for two years now @$99.
[This message was edited by Tony Prior on 09 December 2006 at 07:20 AM.]

Behringer products are strange.... I've used a Eurorack MX 1604A mixer since 2000, no problems at all and it is clean and noise free.In my experience they are built cheaply, will break quickly, and they actually screw up your sound to some degree!
On the other hand I've heard and read many horror stories about Behringer products breaking down after only a week or two.
Seems like they either work well or not at all....

The only bad news I've ever had from Behringer stuff is from people who have never used Behringer stuff. I have several pieces and have never had any problems.

I have a Behringer Powerplay Pro headphone amp in the studio.
I have been quite happy with it.
But this is not for anything going onto tape, strictly playback.
The production in China, is not state of the art,
it can be described as old school adequate.
You get what you pay for.
Would I record through a Behringer mixer? Well maybe; live, non-critical usage,
but professionaly, much less likely.
Still take it home, and not on the road much,
you should get your money's worth.
But maybe not bet the ranch on it's reliability.

ended up getting one brand new off of EBAY for $25 plus another $5 for shipping. It arrived today. it works, and it is exactly what I am looking for and for the exact price.
If it only lasts a year that would be worth it. But I also have a Power Play Phones preamp and it has been in the rack for two years now, no issues at all. Turns on, works, Turns off. Same routine everytime I fire it up which basically is everyday.

I've had a Behrenger PMX 2000 powered mixer for about 3 years now with no problems.
Mind you, if I were going to play gigs every night and/or be serious about recording, I would go another route, but for what I do, my Behrenger is priceless.
I got exactly what I paid for...a dependable, inexpensive mixer for my music room and small gigs.
Your experience may vary.
