Has anyone noticed the similarity between Chuck Berry's "Confessing the Blues" and Bob Wills' "Milk Cow Blues ? Every time I start singing one I end up in the other. So I combined them. Here, for your amusement, is what must be the only version of Confessing the Milk Cow !
Played on Sho-Bud Crossover, on the C6 neck, not using the pedals, so I guess it's "Steel Without Pedals". Anyway, it's the first recording I've posted. Recorded in my basement. The percussion I generated on the computer. The rhythm is on a 7-string solid.

Alan, you must have had fun cooking up that vintage vibe. Sounds like someone opened a 50-year-old time capsule!
Speed it up and get instant "hulabilly".... |

Could be because I'm a hangover from the 50s and I'm using 50s equipment. Even the recording was done on reel-to-reel...
I just like that sound. My favorite music is Rockabilly and Western Swing. |
