Seems I jumped the gun on asking for tab. I'm new on the forum and I'm just finding my way around. There's enough tab here to keep me busy for months. I just needed to know how to find it. Thanks Greg for your tab and sound files, too. I'm on an old 8 string and found it not too bad to make the tab look right for me with the help of WORD. Accept my apologies for asking for something that's already here.

The amout of info at the SGF is overwhelming and impossible to take in and survey for an individual, so we all sometimes ask for stuff that's already published somewhere here. That's human - only machines are flawless in this way so we all have to excuse each others shortcomings sometimes, don't we?

Jerry,
Welcome to the forum! If you have two 8 string necks, what is your tuning? Hopefully you can still find a lot of useful tab here!

The front neck is tuned E9 (excluding the 1st and 2nd strings)with 1 2&3 pedals as standard Nashville tuning. I have pedals 7 and 8 doing the jobs of LKL and LKR. The back neck is C6 but I haven't assigned any pedals yet. I haven't spent a lot of time on the C6 yet. I'm just coming off a Carter Starter with less than two years steel experience. I would like some suggestions on assigning the three remaining pedals to the C6 neck. Cindy Cashdollar and Junior Brown are a couple of my heroes and I am considering some of their tunings and go non-pedal here. Thanks to everyone for all tab posts and advice on playing pedal steel. The forum has proven to the THE place to start looking for anything. As soon as I figure out how to add pics I will probably sell my "starter" here so stay tuned. THANKS EVERYBODY!!! |
