soft rain

That's a beautiful song with Ray Price singing and every bit as nice instrumentaly.I've never played on a stage were the lead players are so far apart, that takes talent even with good monitor system.Great video with great musicians.
I'd love to see more like that.

Another great tune by a great player......thanks Bill.

This live performance could be used as a study of how a Steel Instrumental should sound IMHO.......sound balanced good across the stage, solid rhythm, very tasteful solos by the Fiddle, Piano and Guitar.....and of course Ron's expert touch and tone.

Ron's a great player, with a good sense of humor. Too bad he doesn't bring it with him...
Thanks for posting this one, Bill.

Hey Bill, I really appreciate you running the "Soft Rain" spot. I've always loved the song. Ray Price wrote a good one...and needless to say, "Sang it as only Ray Price could" Thanks again my friend, Ron

To Ron

My pleasure Ron. I can only put up one clip of each player that approves from St Louis, but I am working on some Smoky Mountain Steel Guitar Jamboree video's from Knoxville. I'll find another one of you doing some of that speed picking (hehe) and get it on the air.

You know me, play the melody and you have played the song.

Take care my friend,
Bill

So many thanks to all the great musicians that are truly the"backbone" of all the shows. It it so much easier to play your show when you are so confident in the support that is seated on the stage with you...and again, to quote the song, "God Bless the boys who make the noise"...and girls !
I have often wondered how many "STARS" we would have if not for the support of those wonderful musicians. Hats off to you all ! Ron
