A colleague at work asked me if all the different tunings mixed up steel guitarists, and my response was....

Imagine I took your computer keyboard away and gave you a Dvorak keyboard (all the keys are in different positions). Then when you've got used to that I gave you a third keyboard. Then imagine that I fitted eight foot pedals and four knee levers, that moved an entire row or column across or up and down when you depressed them. Now try and type anything !

...yet we manage it !
