Worth of a Carter S10?

Post by Kevin Lamb »

I have been gone too long to know what things cost anymore and could not find something completely relevant in the history here.....but I will probably sell my Carter S10 that is about 5 years old. Single/three pedals/5 knee levers and it is a "one under" that Ann had built for me - it looks just like the one bobby Boggs posted here in late November - except with out the extension and black pad. I have not been able to figure how to post a picture here yet (thought it was done with the image button, but no)

Unfortuately a cat sprayed on the legs and I did not catch it in time so there is some small spotty tarnish where the shiny aluminum coating no loner exists. (Maybe I should call Ann and see what it would cost to refinish or replace - if someone wants a mint insturment)

I have not absolutely dedcided to sell it but I was wondering what a fair price would be for it. Top and everything else is perfect. The poor thing never got any use at all. I need to buy the new Yamaha Motif XS8 synth which is going unveiled at NAMM - and the darn thing has an MSRP of $4,000.
It would ship from Southern California. Any advice as to the above (including jpeg posting tip) would be appreciated.
