Just stumbled across this on YouTube, with Russ Wever on bass and Jimmy Queen on drums and ?? on fiddle.

Jim,
That was out at the St Charles VFW where Scotty hosted many SGI (Steel Guitar International) shows through the years.
The fiddler here is Mark Vacarro from Bonne Terre, 60 miles south of St Louis.
At the time, Mark and I worked together in a St Louis 'top-forty' country dance hall.
Normally, during that time period Wade Ray was the fiddler on these SGI shows, perhaps he was booked out of town during this particular one.
Mark still plays around the area, and his wife is a very good Dobro player.
Glad to see these videos to remind me not only of what a good fiddler Mark is, but just how slammin' much fun it was with Bobby, Jimmy and not only Herbie, but whoever was on steel for the particular afternoon.
The list of players that played at these local shows over the years at these show read like a 'who's who': Emmons, Tharpe, Rugg, Myrick, Elliott, Day, Basore, Crawford, Seymour, Wallace, Chalker, Scotty, Robinson, Wiggins, Bethal, Murphy, Speedy are some that come to mind. On each show were also local St Louis steelplayers as well.
~Russ
