I have long used Alexander's website for references to Universal students. The interview sessions are tremendous with respect to the origin of the universal tunings used on today's guitars. That being said, however, there are two sections of Alexander's site listed here that remain very important; the History of the Lap Steel, and the History of the Pedal Steel guitars. Both Loraine and Jan have expended enormous amounts of time in the research and writing of the two articles. New folks, along with older players alike, will benefit from understanding wherefore the instruments came. Good stuff Alexander, and sorry you're dropping the site currency, but we're thankful you're maintaining this site for us.

Again,
The Pedal-Pro Universal website is only for reference on the internet. It is not updated any longer since Jan 2006.
This also means no more PPU newsletters.
Still we get newsletter requests. Visitors who fill in the request form in the website.
Thanks for the interest, but again; No updates, no more newsletters.
And thanks for the nice words guys, it was a pleasure to work on PPU. personally, building PPU gave me a lot of new overseas friendships. People I otherwise would never have met (email and internet-chat) and probably will never meet in person (however you never know.
Best
