Hi Guys, it's so nice to know that I'm in good company and great minds think alike. I've been using a 15/16" dia x 3 9/16" long stainless steel bar for about the last 6 years and although I'm a nobody in company of the great Mr john Hughey, I would recomend this size of bar to anyone. I don't know the length of a 12 string bar, but I would guess it is near the same length? I have my bars made for me by a top class machinist and then I mirrow polish it myself. Kind regards, Dave (UK)

Leon, I did not answer you, but you of all people know how busy I am.
Sorry for that, but the good news is 320 bars will be at the platers Monday morning, I should have them back the following Monday so that means the orders that's received will be shipping that week.
I'm still working the rest of the bars until I get them all done....several more to go.
Thanks to all,
Bill

Hi John: Just to let you know that I received my JH Lite 12string 7/8 bar with birthstone today from Bill. The quality of material and workmanship is awesome. The playing of the lighter weight bar sure makes it easier for this old geezer to maneuver the bar without losing the quality of the sound.
Thanks for a great idea.
Harvey

Well its not too long until I get to meet most of you at Scotty's Steel Guitar Convention. I'm looking forward to meeting some of you that have already purchased your new bar. Also I'm looking forward to a good show and hear some great picking. Scotty and his family puts a lot of hard work into these Conventions. Lets let them know how we appreciate their hard work.
