Does anyone know who this is playing steel with the good Commander thirty years after the classic live album featuring Bobby Black? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bf1HWGVd9g0

Cheers.

It's funny cause each steeler does the sirens differently, me, Tiny and Bobby. If you listen to the different live CDs we're on you will a distinct difference in each one's approach. Bobby Black live in Tahoe, me live in STL, and of course Tiny live on the new DVD and on the clip on youtube.com
We'll also be in Springfield Illinois at the Hilton Underground on Sunday, Oct 1st.
I always look forward to my anual performances with the ol' Commander.

Don, where might we find the examples of Bobby in Tahoe and you in St.L.?
Is the Tahoe gig a legit CD release? Title?
Thot I had 'em all, but this one escapes memory.

How do you do you're version of the siren?

Ron, these are relatively new CDs that Mark Emerick has...go to his website: markemerick.com and you should be able to get them and tee-shirts and such along with a detailed touring schedule, and George has a 5 CD box set on his site: commandercody.com
As per the sirens...it seems to me that Bobby's siren is a "prison" style like when they escape, and Tiny's is like a typical police car or ambulance while mine is I guess a "British" type police car...
I do it with the Ross Distortion on with the A Pedal down at the 15th fret, strings 5&6 with a "Little" Roy Wiggins Tremelo...then add the dopler effect and decay the volume pedal.
I can also do an Air Horn, a Train Whistle and a car down shifting...(not as good as Bobbe Seymour's car wreck though)
The train is the only one without distortion.
