Well, well, my wonderful friends. I am finally at a loss for words, (first time ever!). I just can't believe how nice all you rascals are!

I just read this whole thing and some of you have brought tears to my eyes and others are making me laugh 'til I cry!

I just can't tell you all how much I appreciate your support and friendship.

No, I have not ever been nominated before, according to Scotty anyway. If I was ever nominated, I had no knowledge of it. I sure do know that I'm nominated now though!

Many of you have emailed me expressing support, this is all very nice. I am truly overwhelmed by the rash of posts on this forum. You guys all get a new car!

Seriously, this outpouring of enthusiasum is only encouraging me to work even harder for all of you, without you appreciative guys, what would life be? I need to try to make your love of steel guitar even more fun and interesting, you all have made my life a total riot! And I love it, I owe you all, everything!!!!!!!!

Your great friend,
Bobbe

Bobbe, I guess all this (deserved) attention means that you wont be moving back to Oklahoma or Texas anytime soon? Image

Andy, no, just steel! You guys keep my sides hurting! I'm getting more laugh wrinkles than I should have at 39 years old.
Regardless of if I am inducted into this organization or not (SGHOF), this thread is showing me that I must have at least a few good friends out there! Make that "wonderful" friends. And this friendship goes BOTH ways!

Bobbe,

In your "heart of hearts", you know your real vocation is to be a "Bush Pilot". Image

Go back to flyin, and when you do, just send over that extra non-pedal Sho-Bud D8 you don't need. Image

I need the practice!! Image TX

Congratulations, Bobbe!

Just another word of caution. Don't anyone go getting steamed if Bobbe is not inducteed this year. As I recall, this year's inductees were selected at the board meeting during last year's ISGC. So if Bobbe is not inducted this year he may very well be inducted next year (or later).

I'm sure Herb will set me straight if I'm mistaken on this.

Ron, you are correct.

Bobbe will most certainly NOT be inducted this year. Bobbe's nomination is among those to be voted upon in this year's
Board meeting.

Bobbe, once again you can see how many folks appreciate your contributions to "our" music. Yes, this is a great honor and I hope the Board places you in the HOF next year, however, you can see by these responses that You have been there all along!!!Great to see you at CAAS in Nashville last week.
