I met Bobbe at a Gospel Steel Show in Columbus last year and had him take my LDG with him to restore it. Needless to say he did a FANTASTIC Job!!!!! But that is secondary to him being a wonderful person.
In my honest opinion Bobbe is one of the
most pleasent people in the Music Industry.
I think he should be in the Hall Of Fame as well. He has done major things for the Steel Industry.
His time is Long Overdue!!!
Love Ya Bobbe

Tell you what.
For the way he treated me the week I was there, I don't care if he EVER gets in that basment vault.
He's in My Personal Hall of Fame.
Anybody gets it rolling, and I'll sure sign on.
Bobbe is a guy's guy and has literally forgotten more than most of us will ever know.
He knows how to hire office staff too
Can't say enough about him. I'm still floored by my last week's trip to Nashville.
I disrupted his business for half a week, he sent an amp and VP home to my motel for me, all but didn't accept my money for stuff I bought, and tried his best to set me up with.... ( nevermind.. )
My thanks, and more are forthcoming.

A letter writting campain won't do it.
Only a proper nomination will be considered.
The procedure is explained here: http://scottysmusic.com/abouthof.htm

Thanks, Joey.
It would take a book to answer the seven questions. How about if each question was answered by one person? Or if there are more than seven people, there could be groups for each question. Who knows the most about Bobbe's career (other than Paris Hilton)? If he's ever been nominated before, then a lot of the work is already done.

We have to convince a small board of directors, so one thing to do is figure out how to convince that handful of guys.
A discussion of the politics of the situation might be helpful in determining what to say and how to say it, but I don't think such a discussion should be done on a public forum like this one.
I would think we need to get one leader and preferably at least six followers. I'm a newbie, so I'm out, although I can help with the writing after you experts put the info together. Do we have any volunters here? Do you know of any people we should ask (besides Paris Hilton)? Has anybody here been involved in a HOF nomination before? Do we know anybody who has?
[This message was edited by Darryl Hattenhauer on 05 April 2006 at 06:56 PM.]

[This message was edited by Darryl Hattenhauer on 05 April 2006 at 06:57 PM.]

Bobbe meets all the criteria and then some.
He has world class chops, an incomparable body of recorded work spanning 50 some years, and more workshop and tutorial videos than everyone else combined. He has done a great deal to promote Steel Guitar, both pedal and non-pedal and he has significantly helped just about every steel guitarist on the planet at one time or other - yours truly included. He sells them, he restores them and he repairs them in the world's largest steel guitar store. He's every steeler's best friend.
Inductive reasoning - this year it should be Bobbe Seymour in the HOF!
