bobbe (hall of fame)?

Post by Jimmie Martin »

i checked it out on the internet and found out that if one of you people out there that knows about bobbe's achievements and acomplishments you can fill out a form to be sent in to the steel guitar hall of fame board for his consideration. you must be a person that knows him very well. now i'm nobody but i believe that he belongs in there. you all can get mad at me for coming up with this post but you should do it anyway. thanks for hearing me out. ok

I've felt like Bobbe should be inducted into the H.O.F. for several years now. We've been personal friends for over 20 years. I even e-mailed Tom Bradshaw and recommended Bobbe. No one else in the Nashville area has done as much to help the Steel Guitar industry as Bobbe Seymour. I highly support the idea of nominating him as a candidate. Nick

I agree with this topic. I never have met Bobbe personally but have dealt with him via Ma Bell. He is a top notch player and does a lot of session work. I would love to see him in the Hall Of Fame.

I am for that. Ok. One of you Nashville guys, get a Bio from Bobby and print it up and send it in.
The board will look at it and maybe something good will happen, who knows?...al Image Image

Why should any be mad at you for this post?

If you read the selection criteria. there is no doubt my friend Bobbe excels in every category.

He belongs there, and I have no doubt he will someday be inducted.

There's a long line of other equally worthy players that also belong there. Since only two or three a year are inducted, the waiting is the hardest part.

Joey...Definitely agree with your comment. So many deserving players and just a couple a year. Hopefully they will all get their deserved admittance.

Congrats Bobbe, you certainly deserve it.
You have been an inspiration and a credit to your fellow musicians and store customers. Keep up the good work and hopefully you will get in the SGHOF

I certainly support Bobbe for the HOF. I have only spoken with Bobbe via email, bought an amp and a few other things. Most of all, I appreciate his "tips" and "news". I am thousands of miles away but feel like I am somewhat in the loop because of Bobbe's effort to pass on his knowledge and "insider" information. I know that is not what the HOF is about but we all know about his abilities on the steel. It is the personal touch that makes him a friend of mine even though we have never met.

Bobbe`s knowledge of the steel guitar is immense and he is not shy in sharing it with others. A very worthy candidate and great gentleman.

I can't believe he isn't ALREADY in the HOF! He certainly deserves to be there, he's done alot for the steel guitar. He's made contributions as a player, an instructor, a merchant, a promoter, and a supporter of steel players everywhere. I think that compleates all the critera listed on the site for HOF admisson.
He used to invite players to sign the wall in his old store in Goodlettsville, everyone from the "Big "E" to nobodys like me. He made everyone feel like "somebody." We all know what a "somebody" he is, but let's get his name on the BIG wall alongside all our other "Heros", so everyone else can see it too!

Are you HOF worthy if you can cause a non players toe nails to curl while listening to his "When a House is Not a Home", "Sweet
Dreams", "Precious Jewel", "You Don't Have Very Far to Go", etc., etc., etc. ??
If so, then times a wastin!!

Of course he deserves to have a plaque, in the middle of the wall, of the Millenium Hotel basement, near the big ol' highway! "A doo-da doo-doo-doo" Image

Seriously, he should be inducted.
