I am listening to a Funkadelic retrospective and hear the unmistakeable tones of a PSG on a song called "Biological Speculation". Any idea? The CD does not have complete credits.

I'm pretty sure Paul Franklin did some Funkadelic session work, the song little o'country boy comes to mind.

I'll tell you what I know about Ollie -
He used to be based around the Hamilton, Ontario, Canada area, and may still be. He's known as an all around great player, but particularly noted for his swing treatments of old standards. I believe he worked on the Tommy Hunter Show, and with him on the road a bit as well. I understand he was also with Gordie Tapp's (Cousin Clem) band.
He was one of the many fine Canadian steel players featured on the "Northern Steel" CD.
I didn't realize that he'd recorded with Funkadelic, but I'm not surprised.
Last year Ollie's grandson inquired about him here, and here's the thread: http://steelguitarforum.com/Forum15/HTML/009913.html

Ollie and his wife Rae just left Lake Panasoffkee, Florida this morning headed back to the Toronto area. He's been down here for a little over a month. I had the good opportunity to work with Ollie at Catfish Johnny's Tuesday jam twice while he's been here. One time we had "twin" steels and then second time he picked lead guitar (very well).

Ollie has been down here visiting and working jobs with singer Rod Snow, who he works with in Canada.

Ollie and I have talked at length several times over last 4 years or so that he's been spending February here in Florida and he's never mentioned doing any "funkadelic" stuff.

Imagine that, a steel guitarist not wanting to bring up his disco/soul credentials - hmph! You'd think he would be bragging on the steel guitar forum about that....

Yeah, David, I don't know if George Clinton paid him enough to afford the appropriate level of flame-retardant clothing to be posting that here. If anyone wants the tune I'd be glad to email it to you but I have no idea how to post it somewhere for download.
