I have the record and like any other project Buddy Emmons has on the market, this is a must for your collection. It really shows how he can play more than pedal steel. |

Thanks for these links. I love this album; Buddy's solo on "Sugarfoot Rag" is immaculate. You walk with the gods, Sir Emmons.
Happy New Year! |

Amazon is only offering a 30 second sample now. Did anyone get the full down load? I bought the LP when it first came out. However to play it. I would to spend hours digging thru stuff just to find it.
My question.Would anyone who downloaded Indian Killed A Woodcock be kind enough to E-mail me an MP3 of it? I know this files can be a pain to send if you have dail up.I really only need the Sugar Foot Rag part. There was one lick in it I never did get down. That was years ago.I'm hoping my ear is better.Besides, Now I can slow it down and it still be on pitch. ..Thanks in advance....[This message was edited by Bobby Boggs on 30 January 2006 at 08:24 PM.] |

Bobby,
I didn't see this thread when it came out, but I just downloaded both tunes. Indian is 2:50 and the medley is 8:11. Try it again.

I am also a big, big fan of this album, moreso of side one, I think. I was making a very valiant effort to figure out how to play "Indian" and having very little luck on the E9 neck, made some more headway on the C6 neck, only to read a note from Buddy saying the whole album was played on a twelve string Emmons. You seasoned pickers already knew that for sure, but maybe everybody didn't.
I wonder if anyone has tabbed "Indian" out for C6 on a D-10? I would LOVE to learn how to play that beautiful song. |
