Ride, Captain Ride!-How many bikers?

OMG, so this explains it...I was trying to figure out why I had this overwhelming desire to ride a Harley. Thought maybe I was going through a second childhood or that I'd just sung Guthrie's "Motorcycle Song" a few too many times. Noooo...now I see the connection. In the span of a single month I get serious about lap steel AND decide I'm gonna learn to ride and buy me a Harley. It can't be a coincidence. Is it the lap steel or have I been hanging out at the SGF too much?

1997 Harley 1200S Sportster "Sport"

w/ S&S carb, V&H exhaust, Screaming Eagle ignition module, K&N air cleaner.

Bought new. Now has 21,500 + miles.

Walter Jones and Greg Jones are two of the nicest people I have met in the steel family, and today I find out thet they ride bikes. WOW,,,,makes my day !!!

John Drury, see! All this started just because I rode my BMW 100 RS over to your house, Good thing I didn't drive the Ferarri over!
Man, I'm glad to see so many players that love to get out and ride. I think I really enjoy it more and more as years go by.
At 14 years old, Dad got me a Cushman Pacer, then a Vespa at 14 1/2. I rode it until the Air Force days, bought a '49 Harly 'Hydro Glide, when it ran it was great , when it didn't, it was still a great learning experience. That was many bikes ago. I have been around motorcycles all my life. Dad had me riding pretty young and I always have remembered him having one. The 250 twin Yamaha I put alot of miles on. Later I got a brand new Honda Ascot V-twin. Wish I would have kept that one. I have always wanted a Harley and finally got one. Its a 1981 XLH Sportster with a sport-bob tank, S&S carb, stroker kit, and drag pipes, and only 13'000 original miles. Plum Crazy Metallic paint job. Plan on keepin this one a long time.

Bobbe,

Lets do a ride out to Loveless for breakfast next Sunday, are you up for it? Maybe do a few miles of the Trace?

I havent checked out the cuisine at the Loveless Cafe since they reopened, it used to be great! I'll be there around 0900 - be there or be square!

I'll post this on events and announcements in case any one else is up for a ride.

Be a little more specific about the meeting place. We will be in Nashville next weekend for a motorcycle rally that ends Sat. Nite but do not mind staying over if possible.

Chris! YES! A great favorite of mine. I've had two like yours. No complaints at all, this is why I decided to try the '85 K-100. (that and a good deal!)

John Drury, yes, count on me to ride to the famous "Love-less" cafe with you. And all you other player/riders be there also. This is a very famous place and the food is incredible! This should be a blast! I want to see what you guys are riding.

Yea, by the way John, I lost the alternator again on the Beechcraft on the way back from St.Louis. At night too! I hope to have a perm. fix for this soon.
