The Grand Ole Opry will be airing an all Martina Mcbride show tonight on GAC, performing mostly traditional country classics in which Paul will be playing in the band (and I mean playing, from what I understand).

Don't get much better than that. The only way it could be any better would be to tie up one of their 17 rhythm guitar players or fiddle players back stage and set you right next to Paul in his spot. If they wanted they could still show Martina every now and then. You 2 backing Martina would guarantee me a trip to my therapist next week.

I yelled at the TV when Paul did that moving interior line thing way up the neck on I can't stop loving you. The kind of back of my neck hair standing up stuff that inspires me so much to always dig for deeper and finer even within a simple melody.

We saw Paul on GAC tonight. It was a great performance. Love that traditional country music. I especially enjoyed Paul's smooth touch on the No-Pedal steel. They put the camera on Paul and we had a good look at that Franklin Steel Guitar. I had to go right out and buy that Martina CD.

As I said, we enjoyed seeing Paul, but Tommy - You always do a great job on the Opry. You make it look so easy, and you seem to be unaware that millions of people are watching you. We will be watcing for you next week.

Ok that push me over the edge Iam getting a S.S. What sound that thing has. What a show tonight best Opry I have seen in a long time. It was great to see Mr. Franklin play.

It was great to see and hear Paul play On the Opry. He always adds that something special to what ever he plays and to hear him play the traditional country was an added treat. I just whis we could see and hear more. BTW, does anybody know who the guitar player was? Anyway, Paul, great job my friend. Bobby

What a great show. Martina did the right thing. She even gave Ray Price the last phrase in "Heartache's By the Number" and Paul's playing was an honor to the original version.

Paul tore my heart out with the solo in "I Can't Stop Loving You". I noticed that the audience really likes the type of music we all love. Maybe there is still some hope.

We saw it here on PBS' "Soundstage" last week. It was really great to finally see a network show where the producers actually give the steel player some serious camera time instead of just shooting the singer (or six string player!) while you HEAR the steel taking a solo.

Great sounds throughout, Paul, and nice to see your hands and face as well.

Bruce,Your right,We need more of this.The crowd's responce proved people are craving real music,not the crap that is flooding the airways today.If Martina's C.D.makes enough money maybe some knucklehead record executive will realize he can make big bucks releasing real country music.On [MU-SICK]row the only thingthat talks is the almighty dollar,to hell with the music,how much money can we make.

That was a show well worth the time to watch and listen. Paul was absolutely fantastic, tasteful backup and his leads were right on the money. Martina was in her usual great form and showed herself to be a classy lady when she gave Ray Price the final phrase in Heartaches by the Number. Wish I had recorded it...it would be well worth watching again.

Tommy W....Thank you for keeping us informed about upcoming events at the Opry, very thoughtful of you to do so.

Also may I take this opportunity to comment on the exceptional musical contribution you make to the Opry and what an inspiration you are to so many of us.

I understand Paul also played his new SuperSlide on the show last Saturday evening. Hopefully someone recorded it and I'll have the opportunity to see and hear him and yourself.

Herman V....When you're ready for the SuperSlide just let me know and we could have one in your hands in a matter of days.

The GAC channel is scheduled to re-broadcast this show tomorrow night, October 25, at 8:00 pm central time. I plan to record it on my DVR this time.

I was lucky enough to be at the Opry for that great show. Paul had me in tears with that incredible soulful steel playing. Only one question for Tommy, was your twin outfit with Paul planned or a "wardrobe malfunction"? You both looked very sharp by the way. Martina was magnificent also.
