Played another Hank Sr. birthday show last night[sept.17]in Columbus Ga. Had a sold out show.Made me wonder if fifty plus years from now if there will be wide spead recognition of Kenny Chesney,Garth Brooks,Big and Rich,or Cowboy Troy's birthday. The real thing is eternal, the crap slowly fades into oblivion.

I got to play Don's set in St.Louis and what a treat is was as usual. I had goose bumps from the time we started playing until the last note was struck. He is truly a man among men. He has had a great career and through it all has remained the nicest person you could ever hope to meet. I think Miss Hazel thinks he is special also as she was Don's childhood sweetheart and still is. I have read His book "Settin' The Woods On Fire" and it is wonderful, a must for all. God bless "Shag" and Miss Hazel always and forever. Bobby
