Tommy White

Post by Rabbit Easter »

I just went to the Grand Ole Opry this past Saturday and saw my good friend Tommy White, I love the way John Hughey played "Look At Us" But let me say Tommy played it sat. with Vince Gill and it was one of the best turnarounds I have ever heard way to go Tommy!!

Hey Rabbit! I just want to say that I love the steel work you did in "It still takes a wise man to pray" I wish I could find tab on that. It is a wonderful song. Such a blessing! Thanks. I heard Tommy play when he was about thirteen years old, and he played great then. Over the years he just keeps getting better and better. His Dad was a great player also. I guess the old saying is true, the apple never falls to far from the tree. Tommy is a great person and I am proud to call him my friend. Bobby

I couldn't agree more! The new 'Big Three' for me are: Buck Reid, Randy Beavers and Tommy White.

These guys inspire me every time I listen to them play.

We're lucky to have them!

The only reason I even watch the Grand Ole Opry reruns is to watch Tommy play. Sometimes I get lucky and catch some other good steel players on there also.

One of the best things about Tommy, is that he is as genuine nice a guy as he is a monster player!!! Tommy is definitely one of the greatest ever to play the pedal steel guitar!

It's very nice to see the responses by so
many musicians; to the steel guitar playing
of Tommy White. --- I have the very dubious
pleasure of having been among the very 1st steel players to have been "SKUNKED" by a
young man approximately (12) years old.
I'm proud to have been his friend for
these many years.

Rabbit, do you ever hear from Russell?? He played my guitar at our church a couple of years ago, and I'll never forget it.

I still click on the Emmons site just to hear Rabbit. That would be an awesome show; Rabbit, John and Tommy.
